Summer reading

I have a confession to make.  My name is Heather Walker and I am a shameless reader.  I read for pleasure when I should be doing other things, like housework, laundry or professional reading.  There is little that I enjoy more than settling back with a good book. The scene of my crime could be a lawn chair on a sunny day, a treadmill, a waiting room, a lunch room, an airport, or a cozy couch on a blustery day.  Here are some of the titles on my summer reading list:

Sing You Home” by Jodi Picoult,

An Altar in the World” by Barbara Brown Taylor,

The Passage” by Justin Cronin,

The Spiral Staircase“ by Karen Armstrong,

Cutting for Stone“, by Abraham Verghese

St. Stephen’s Book Club is a group for people who like to discuss what they have read. Books from various genres are discussed.  We have looked at fiction, classics, theology-based books, and political issues. Our readers make the suggestions for the books read.

What are you reading this summer?
